The Dragon at Nakoma Golf Resort
The Nakoma Golf Resort was purchased in the spring of 2010 and the reawakening of The Dragon quickly began. Perched above the wild and scenic Feather River in northern California’s Plumas County, the Dragon is a true mountain course with stunning views from every tee box.

Taming the Dragon
While the dramatic mountain vistas and unparalleled scenery remain the same, the Robin Nelson designed, 18-hole, Par-72 championship golf course is being transformed to appeal to a broader range of golfers. Bunkers have been removed and reshaped, fairways have been widened and some greens (like the notoriously tough #12) will be totally re-done to make the course more player-friendly.

The Dragon prides itself on being family friendly. The game of golf offers a myriad of life lessons for young people including honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, perseverance and judgment, to name just a few. We have golf schools, clinics, and academies as well as individual lessons, a series of four and of course our junior clinics -- all designed to enrich the love of the game.
